Stella McCartney Is For GapKids—But If Gap Adults Wear It Too, Well, OK

Good Afternoon Velveteen readers!

This article is just too adorable! I read it and now I want to run to Gap kids as fast as I can and have a major shopping spree. Their kids clothes are ten times more innovative and fashionable than the regular Gap clothes which I usually think of as simple, basic clothes.

If you don't want to read the article, at least watch the cute video at the end.

Fall 2010 top ten collections

Hey Velveteen readers,
Check out this article from style.com
It's a list of the top 10 Collections of the season. There are some no brainers, Marc Jacobs and Dolce and Gabbana can do no wrong, and some that left me shaking my head. Even Karl Lagerfeld can't make over the knee fur boots look good. But I have to agree with their number one pick, the late Alexander McQueen's final collection. It was a stunning tribute to Italian Romance that I just couldn't stop looking at. And put on just barely a month after his death: truely stunning.

Mo

The Short Truth on Long Nails

Works of art or hideous monstrosity's? I cant tell any more. We have selected a new canvas to pour our creative ideas upon. Unfortunately some peoples idea of creative is anthers persons tacky. My opinions on this subject will be printed in the next issue of Velveteen Magazine.

Fashion Disaster

Fashion week, a time honored tradition in Bryant Park, is being relocated. Who is the culprit of this tragedy and why is it such a horrible idea. Also included: Velveteen's top accessory picks of the season, with new art by yours truly.

New York Fashion Week

Today was the last day of New York Fashion Week. There were an abundance of beautiful, edgy, new clothes that I can't wait to see on the racks. Out of the collections that I saw, my favorites were surprisingly, Tommy Hilfiger, who I usually am not a huge fan of and I also really liked the velvit work that Ralph Lauren did. The draping that BCBGMAXAZARIA did was also very elegant.
